TEN is to return New Zealand cult dramedy Outrageous Fortune later this month.

Updated: It will air from 10:10pm Monday June 21st following Good News Week.

The timeslot has been a tricky one for TEN this year where it has tried The Cleveland Show, repeats of Glee and Supernatural.

Airing the NZ show will also net it local content points.

The show picks up from “O Villany!” -episode 10 of the fifth series.

The US adaptation Scoundrels airs on ABC (US) later this month with Virginia Madsen and David James Elliott.

If this can give rubbish like SBS Shameless a good run for their money but with far more attractive people and of a much classier standard I say Ten should retain the show.They need local content and without it what can they do…Not all of us want another OC or 90210 type show but something like those and home grown or from New Zealand would be nice for once

  2. I am glad at least for ten running it as i managed to catch a few episodes, fall in love with it and then bought the dvd set. Such an awesome series!
    It is a shame it wasn’t properly advertised here in aus, very few people i know or talk to have ever heard of it and they are missing out!

  3. dunno what the hell channel 10 is up to…….they seem to be jamming the last eps of the series into a week long of outragesnous between xmas and new year.
    No promos or warnings to the mug punters.typical

  5. It’s about time, TEN removed it from friday nights after 4 weeks back in January this year. So 10pm Monday Nights (after Good News Week) i just hope they leave it on at that time & not move it to another time slot like they did early this year. I’m glad it’s back.

  7. Awesome! and eps 10 and 11 are the best in the season up until the end.

    Did Go Girls rate well? Cause the 2nd season is really bad, especially since one of the main characters left it’s just gone downhill.

    They should get Robyn Malcolm on GNW so she can promote it coming up next.

  10. Since when did they play repeats of Supernatural? What since like season 1 when they did an encore of the first 2 eps and that one or two reruns of season 1 episodes back few years ago. I would appreciate it if you got the facts right because it doesn’t appear that ten will ever be airing it and I’m starting to think that that “airing later this year” promise is just a lie to keep the fans at bay from not sending in letters of complains.

  11. I never got in to Outrageous Fortune because of how it’s been treated but local TV. David I was going to was about Scoundrels, so no local details yet I guess as to air date and channel?

  13. I have all 5 seasons on DVD and will continue to buy once any future seasons come out I mean 10 skip 2 seasons of this show so no I won’t watch on 10.

  14. This is great news but I have seen the sneak peaks of Scoundrels and would love to see it here in Australia. It has a superhot cast including David James Elliott (JAG), Virginia Madsen(think she was nominated for an Oscar) and Carlos Bernard (24). ABC in the US are promoting it everywhere and it looks like a winner. If you are interested abc.com/scoundrels

    As much as I love OF I am not sure Ten will stick with it and probably will put it back into a really late timeslot again or take it off.

  15. So, so happy!!! I hate Channel Ten for taking it off in the first place (replacing with repeats of Good Wife and ancient eps of NCIS), but now I love them for putting it back on! They better not eff it up this time!

  16. Wow. As odd as this may sound, this is actually the most high profile timeslot that OF has been given to date, though with GNW as a lead-in, it’ll still struggle to find an audience.

    Hopefully it’ll finally find an audience in its new timeslot and encourage Ten to give it a premium timeslot in the near future.

  17. Thanks David for letting us know about this! It’s such a great show, but it isn’t getting the respect it deserves from the networks. Hopefully second time lucky! Please advertise it properly this time channel 10!!!! Will channel 10 play out the season or stop mid-way again?

  19. This is great news. But I was hoping to watch the new season which starts airing in NZ later this month. Please Channel 10 can you make the fans happy and start airing the new season soon. I even suggest an early time slot to give it a chance!!!
