Stephen Fry extends Aussie visit

Qi host and actor Stephen Fry is due in Australia next month and has now extended his tour, originally two sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House on July 27 and 28, to include Melbourne.

Fry said on his Twitter feed on Friday, he would perform his show at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre on July 31.

The extension follows a Facebook campaign ”Dear Stephen Fry please come to Melbourne in July, not just Sydney”, which attracted 1306 members.

Fry tweeted: ”Well, thanks to all those Melburnians (http://bit.ly/9pFqM0) who were kind enough to want me there. I will be coming! Details soon.”

Campaign creator Ronan Macewan wrote, ”I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for joining and contributing and good luck getting a ticket!”
