US TV Critics Association Awards: nominees

Modern Family and Breaking Bad lead the US TV Critics Assn. Award nominees with five and four nominations respectively.

Lost, Glee and Friday Night Lights will join them in battle for the Programme of the Year.

In drama the contenders are Breaking Bad, Lost, Sons of Anarchy, The Good Wife, Mad Men. For comedy the nominees are Glee, Modern Family, Party Down, The Big Bang Theory, Parks and Recreation.

  1. Good to see Parenthood get a nom for Outstanding New Program, but will Seven air it any time soon? The first season of 13 eps ended last month and they will be back in September for 22 more in the 2nd season.

  2. Nice to see Party Down get some recognition, even though i don’t know if it’s deserved. It is a good show though. However Parks and Recreation doesn’t? It’s an amusing show but it’s not that great or funny. Other NBC shows like Community are quite noticeably much more cleverer and funny. Been rewatching community and it is even better for a second time.
    Maybe the Outstanding Achievement in Comedy for Parks is that it doesn’t suck any more.
    Of course the funniest show on TV is the cult hit but otherwise ignored, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”
