Series one of Glee will air in HD for the first time in Australia on FOX8 HD from Monday, August 2, at 7.30pm AEST. It also airs (in SD) on FOX8.
It will be followed by the Australian premiere of UK reality series Pineapple Dance Studios, set at the Covent Garden dance studio, widely recognised as the foremost dance centre in the UK. It has seen some of pop’s biggest musical acts rehearse their worldwide tours there, including Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue and Madonna.
FOX8 says, “The high-energy series mixes the comedy style of The Office, with the mockumentary feel of Spinal Tap and the performance elements of Fame, to create genre-defining, must-see television.”
The show’s slogan has been “Pineapple Dance Studios: Where careers are made, dreams are broken, bitching is an Olympic sport and everyone is fabulous!”
Look out for series break-out star Louie Spence…
It begins at 8:30pm Monday August 2nd.

We don’t need another Bruno. Shame though… if this guy was masculine, he’d be quite delicious
What could be better than the gayest man ever to appear on a TV screen (Louie Spence) and the most deluded and narcissistic man on British TV (Andrew Stone) on the same show? Those two make this show absolutely must-watch.
Would have been nice to see Glee in HD to begin with on FTA…
oh I thought the louie was coming to fta…
andrew stone is great too… when he sings in the nursing home and his local shopping centre it’s priceless
Really hope Pineapple Dance Studios is a hit in Australia and somebody makes Louis an offer too good to turn down and he moves half way around the world, leaving UK TV screens for good.
For a bloke on a satellite show most the nation didn’t watch, he’s bloody been on everything in the last six months – and pretty much ruins every show he appears on too.
looking forward to both, although I think Louie could get on my nerves after 5 mins. I missed Glee on Ten, but saw the pilot ep on a virgin flight last week and enjoyed it…
Sounds a bit fruity.
