Hands up who said “What next -a show about parking infringements?”
It’s coming to Seven.
Parking Wars is a US series which airs on the A&E television network.
The 2008 show follows Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA) employeesas they ticket, “boot”, and tow cars as part of their parking enforcement duties. Likely to be a humourous ob-doc in the vein of Air Ways.
It starts 10:30pm Monday August 16th on Seven.

This shows at least sounds a lot better than that boring, uneventful RBT on Nine. RBT now makes Andrew Daddo’s 4th dud show after Yum Chow, This Afternoon and The Apprentice.
Oh this show is hilarious, I got hooked on it when I was in Canada last year.
so what is that $250m handout from the government being spent on? it certainly isn’t being spent on decent programming
@ross: Paull might be wrong on almost all counts but I’m betting he’s right on it being an awful show. Specifically, I’m betting that after every (plentiful) ad break, we’ll get a “recap” showing much of the same footage, because obviously the people that watch these shows keep forgetting what’s just happened.
I haven’t seen it either, so I am prejudging it, but I will go out and buy a hat and eat it if I’m wrong.
Paull you’re pretty much wrong on all counts. It’s even in 16:9.
If it was a new Zealand show, I’d be watching it religously, if it was a local production, I’d definately check It out. But seeing as it’s ameican, I’m staying right away from it, they produce aweful factuals/ reality shows. The worst part is their stereo-typical voice over guy/ narrator, who usually has this horrible ‘over excited’ voice (think wipeout USA if you want an example). To add to that, the show will almost certainly be shot in 4:3- because apparently tvs in America re-shape themselves to resemble 4:3 when playing standard definition shows.
That’s my review, and I haven’t even laid eyes on it.
I’m going to need more GB from my ISP.
I got addicted to this show big time when I discovered it on Bio on Foxtel. They were showing a new episode every day at the time, for about two months I think.
These parking enforcement folks are all personality. Uniquely American characters. I don’t think this show could ever work anywhere else.
I loved this show, and anyone who likes these factual reality type shows will get a kick out of this one.
in the criminal justice system motor vehicle offences considered trivial and time wasting are pursued by parking officers theses are their stories
