I don't mind Undercover Boss... it's not as schmaltzy or USA! USA! as predicted. If it continues well in these numbers we might get a local version perhaps in glorious 16x9!

@ Andrew I agree about Ten dominating commercial TV in the future as the audiences at Seven and Nine are already skewing 55+ most of the time. If Ten can change the viewing habit of most people watching 9&7 between 6-7 there will be blood on the carpet.

@ koverstreet I too thought Bingo was shaping up to be a great addition to the team - he obviously really loved the physical stunts. I guess he had to be killed off because he's too tall for that show - he makes Les Hill look like a pygmy. Maybe there's a spot on the crew at Rush - he has a bit too much edge for Nine.

@Aimee Eddie - I almost had a heart attack when Bingo got smashed by that truck as it came from nowhere. and it followed 2 times where the producers made us think he was going to die only for him to survive so it was completely unexpected! Agree that Bingo was a great character shame they had to kill him off.

@ andrew, appreciate your comments re Ten, accept that they're honing in on their target demographic, but there's plenty of people who find sbs and abc programming intelligent and informed, not 'dull and serious', an antidote to the fluff and superficiality found on much of FTA. Just watching Q&A last night made me grind my teeth in frustration that the debate wasn't handed over to Tony Jones and the Q&A team. That would have been worth watching.

I liked Paul Mcdermotts line last night on GNW when he was talking to Samuel Johnson about Rush. He said something like Rush its better than Special ops then said they kill a character off that show every week. I just thought it was a funny line to use.

ten will be the juggernaut channel in years to come as the aging nine audience and the mid-life crisis types who watch channel 7 are pushed out of the race. we are already starting to see ten build shows and acquire rights to content that appeals to gen y (even though they don't watch much tv), staragte universe and supernatural i hear will get their own space as well on a new channel of tens. all this while simpsons, masterchef, good news week, 7pm, modern family, undercover boss, ncis, lie to me and loads more continue to build up a strong fan base. the circle is even attracting good demos in the morning, plus ten news feels just right for me personally. i find everything on sbs and abc dull and serious, nine is just weird and everything on seven is 'epic', 'massive', the biggest thing since sliced bread. no thanks.

Rescue Special Ops. What a waste. Not a patch on Police Rescue. What emergency service office has a PR Rep? Is the unit based in Martin Place?

I was so disappointed to see Bingo die on Rescue Special Ops last night. I really liked him :(
What a way to go. Hit by a truck.
I'm sorry to see Luke Pegler go.
