Returning: Come Dine with Me Australia

Season Two for Come Dine with Me Australia will screen over four weeks in August on The LifeStyle Channel.

Season Two for Come Dine with Me Australia will screen over four weeks from Monday August 23 at 8.30pm on The LifeStyle Channel.

Again narrated by James Valentine, the local version of the UK format sees everyday Australians battling it out for the title of the ultimate dinner party host for total strangers. At the end of the evening, the host is judged by their guests and scored out of ten. The host with the most points at the end of the week wins the cash prize.

While My Kitchen Rules skated close to its format, this series pushes a humorous edge as the rival hosts snoop around each others’ houses.

“Series two shows that dinner parties could be a national sport,” said Valentine. “Sure there are no high marks and no one hits a six, but there is naked ambition, vicious competition, shameless backstabbing, down and out cheating, and a drive to win that wouldn’t look out of place on an Olympic podium. You also get oddballs cooking bizarre stuff in strange homes. How could you miss it?”

The 20-part half-hour series is produced by Granada Media Australia for The LifeStyle Channel.

  1. I just got used to the first series and it ended. I suppose it was only 4 weeks too. The UK version just seems to go on and on. I love this show both UK & Oz.

  2. I loved the first series of this Aussie version. While the UK voice over is funnier, I think most of us could identify with at least on of the ‘characters’ in this series.
I’m looking forward to watching the second series 🙂
