Survivor: Nicaragua: Spoiler

Spoiler: Here's how Survivor: Nicaragua will reinvent itself for the next season.

Spoiler: Survivor is the show that just loves to reinvent itself.

CBS has announced that Survivor: Nicaragua will pit the young versus the old.

Players will be divided into two teams.

The Espada Tribe will be made up of individuals over the age of 40, leaning on life experience, wisdom and knowledge.

The La Flor Tribe will have contestants 30 years of age and younger, brimming with youth and vitality.

The series debuts in the US on September 15 with players to be announced a few weeks before the premiere although some sites have already claimed to have leaked them.

Nine will air the series later this year.

  1. Old vs Young happened inadvertently on Survivor: Thailand and to a lesser extent Survivor: Palau. In both those seasons the older tribe dominated, so I’m guessing the same will happen here.

Looks like they’re pushing the spanish conquistador theme rather than on native Nicaraguan culture.

  2. They sure do know how to put together a good cast of characters. Yes as so many have already said, come on 9 don’t let us down and fasttrack it please!

  3. Well they skimmed on it David, in season 12. That age split lasted 1 episode I recall?

I think this time it will be the entire season, with no switches, like Heroes vs Villains.

I do like that finally they won’t vote out the old guy in the first episode because he’s old, or the young girl because she’s young…all the people will be in the same boat.

And there’ll be a lot more older people which could be interesting.
