The Australian version is due on TEN next year and currently calling for vocal groups to register.

  2. according to digitalspy the UK version has already been moved from 8pm to 5.45pm on channel 5 due to low ratings. The fact that it is summer over there and sunlight til after 9pm it doesn’t look good.

  4. How very sad. You know, in times of economic hardship, people look for mindless, feelgood entertainment (no matter how bad) to make themselves feel better. The other thing is that most of our current social problems can be traced to parents telling their kids that they are “really good” at anything the child tries. All of our bad television shows can be traced to the same phenomena.

  6. Of the three episodes so far, each episode has had a fewer number of acts that sucked. There’s only one more “heat” episode to go. Camera work is better now too. On the other hand they also have severe audio problems. It shows why Glee itself has to have studio recording (apart from any debate about auto tune).

    Lastly the general production values are pretty ordinary. They had a tie for second place in this third episode, host Emma Bumpton didn’t know what happens and flailed around for 30 seconds under a producer got to her on earpiece.

    Fundamentally though the format is hampered by mere 20 minutes the viewers have to vote. This then leads to ridiculous results. If a longer voting period doesn’t lead to better results for TEN, then the show is sunk.

  8. Man I’m happy those ladies weren’t wearing the leotard that Beyonce was wearing in her video cos those ladies would not be able to pull it off! 🙂
