Pop star Katy Perry will appear on Sunrise on Friday morning, including singing live on the show.
Presumably she won’t be singing ‘Hot and Cold” given it was the theme song for a certain cooking show on another network.
Sunrise was last under seige by crazed popfans earlier this year for Justin Bieber. Hopefully the frenzy will be a little more constrained this week. We couldn’t cope with delirious hosts again.
The Perry performance will air from Melbourne.
Amended.

@Dylan – didnt know people get so serious over blog info……relax… its just a pop singer singing a song….
and David… thanks…. did not even know about it until i read this so thanks for the info…..
oh and considering you run this town then you can report about anything you want isnt that right Dylan?
Who?
Never heard of her.
Goes back to listening to Dean Martin and Frank Sinartra… hehehe
Always informative David and if you have received incorrect information always amend it as soon as possible, some people can be a bit rude and full of themselves.
The Today show is heading to Melb this week also, is there a special event happening or just a coincidence
Someone needs to get a life..
Thanks for the info David.
Thanks for the info.
I don’t mind that it isn’t “Breaking News” (it was never intended to be), but clearly the venue info was wrong. I’ve asked Sunrise to issue me better detail in the future about events like this. Thanks.
Isn’t the concert in Melbourne or was tat something else?
It is actually not airing in ‘Brekky Central’ but in Melbourne.
Thanks for the breaking news … not. It was announced over a week ago. Despite the time that has passed, you did not have enough time to get the right information. It will not be at Brekkie Central, it won’t even be in Sydney … but in Melbourne, at the Plaza Ballroom. This was a part of the ‘big announcement’ that viewers outside of Sydney could be part of the live concerts. The frenzy will be constrained. It is a ticketed event.
Better letter next time …
Maybe you should just stick to reporting about Today.
