Acclaimed cable drama Breaking Bad returns to ABC2 next month for its second season.
The first episode is directed by its star, Bryan Cranston.
Now that they’ve launched their drug business, there’s no turning back for Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and his young partner, Jesse (Aaron Paul). Using Walt’s knowledge of chemistry to cook up high‐grade methamphetamine to pay for his cancer treatments, the pair are thrust into a netherworld of murder, mayhem and the twin threats of exposure and arrest.
Amid suspicions about her husband’s fidelity, Skyler (Anna Gunn) faces an unexpected pregnancy and a grim financial outlook that forces her back to work for a boss she once threatened to sue for sexual harassment. The prospect of leaving his family penniless catapults Walt headlong into the deal to end all deals, elevating his reputation in the eyes of criminals and cops alike, but bringing him and Jesse to the brink of disaster while potentially making them rich beyond anything they could have dreamt of, as Breaking Bad continues with a compelling 13‐part second series.
It returns Friday September 3 at 9:30pm on ABC2.

ABC2 has some good stuff on.
A really good show, well worth checking out.
Bravo to ABC2 for picking it up (and The Beast, The Wire, Deadwood!), likewise SBS with Mad Men… nice to see the public broadcasters bringing in a bit of quality.
Of course, now we just need quality home-grown shows!
@Pete: ch9 only sold the rights to s1-4 to ABC & screened s5 of The Wire last year on GO! at the same time as ABC2 started from the beginning.
Recently watched Season 2 on DVD. One of the greatest seasons of television of all time.
Best show on tv
Let Walter & Jessie spread their fan base. Best show on television.
Can’t wait. ABC2 has some really great shows.
What about The Wire season 5? We have just been left out to dry with one season left!
Excellent news.
I enjoyed season 1, even though a couple of episodes dragged a little and I’ve been looking forward to watching season 2.
