Second charge against Andy Muirhead

After a Federal charge of allegedly accessing child pornography, former Collectors host Andy Muirhead is now facing a State charge.

Former Collectors host Andy Muirhead faced a fresh charge in his child pornography case in Hobart today.

The Age reports Muirhead, 34, faced a second charge under state law of possessing child exploitation material. He was previously facing one federal charge of accessing child pornography.

He did not enter a plea to either charge.

Muirhead’s lawyer told Mr Mollard that the defence’s analyst would now need to examine material at AFP headquarters in Melbourne.

The matter will go to the Supreme Court for hearing.

Collectors was taken off air after Muirhead took personal leave from the ABC, but returned to screens without him.

He is remanded him on bail to reappear on October 13.
