Airdate: 9/11 State Of Emergency

Some of the key decision makers from the Bush Government are interviewed for this 2hr special on the catastrophe of 9/11.

Next Tuesday night Nine has a special on the catastrophe that was 9/11.

Produced for the History Channel, 9/11 State Of Emergency recounts the difficult split-second decisions people had to make on that day. The roll call of talking heads is a good one with detailed insider interviews from former National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, Acting Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Richard Myers and White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card.

On 9/11 the world changed forever and America was tested as never before – putting the judgment, values, bravery and ability to react of leaders and ordinary men and women alike under intense scrutiny. Offering a minute by minute account of that day, this special follows a range of people – some very famous, some very private and discovers how they behaved and how well they believe they responded.

The two hour special airs 9pm Tuesday September 7th on Nine.

  1. Ok, so Bush’s flunkies excuse themselves about the whole 9/11 thing. What really stinks is the involvement of Rumsfeld, of whom there is more than reasonable evidence that he knew of the planned attacks [eg; announcing $2-3 trillion Defence Dept. loss just before 9-11, thus ensuring little to no press coverage of such a loss; failing to order evacuation of Pentagon, despite a 1/2 hour warning knowing it would be hit; within hours of attacks, ordering people to go after Saddam even though there was no, and would be no, evidence linking Iraq to this., etc. ] The guy is worse than many prosecuted war criminals.
Not one person on this show even questions the Bush administration’s version of 911. Meanwhile people still grieve for the 3000 lost there, over 100000 Iraqis killed, & who knows how many more in Afghanistan [including more & more of our finest.]
This ‘documentary’ is an insult to all these people.

  2. And Seven will do what they did yesterday and find some repeat of something to do with Sept 11 and slot it in on at 7.30pm on Seven Two ?

Like they did yesterday putting a repeat of something to do with The Bermuda Triangle on Seven Two.
