TV Tonight understands Michael Pell will be announced as the replacement for Adam Boland as Executive Producer of Sunrise soon.
28 year old Pell, currently Executive Producer of The Morning Show and Weekend Sunrise, has been widely tipped for the role since 35 year old Boland announced he would be exiting the show at the end of November.
Pell started his career at SKY News and built a solid reputation running the top-rating Morning Show.
Boland will remain in a consultative role for Seven after stepping aside from running Sunrise.
Seven’s show is currently enjoying a ratings resurgence over Today.
Amended.

He’s 28???
Weekend Sunrise and TMS were both set up by Boland… Pell hasn’t really done anything to either show to make them his own…
Lucky Boland is still staying on – he’ll surely continue to hold Pell’s hand.
Harsh. He has been running The Morning Show for a number of years. It’s a consistent winner in its slot. Think you’ll find there is a lot of confidence in his work.
He’s 28. He’s not 26.
i get that sunrise love justin bieber but this is taking it too far.
Good for him, smashing young lad 🙂
Wow – is all I can say. No, I also want to be ageist, but will resist, as i appreciate that energy and drive would be required for the demands of the job. Wow!
hes younger than I had pictured..but thats good, it always nice to see new talent getting a go…Weekend Sunrise and TMS are both in good nick, so Im sure he will do a fine job with Sunrise, and im sure Adam will keep him on the right track
