Be afraid. Season Two of MTV's reality series about eight housemates spending their summers together begins tomorrow.

Be afraid. Season Two of MTV’s reality series about eight housemates spending their summers together begins tomorrow.

Pauly D, Mike aka “The Situation”, Snooki, J Woww, Sammi, Ronnie and Vinny find themselves in South Beach, Miami.

Jersey Shore has previously attracted some controversy in the US for its inclusion of the terms ‘Guidos’ and ‘Guidettes’, in reference to its Italian-American cast.

In addition to Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino becoming a breakout star (including a regular gig on Dancing with the Stars), the show has attracted increasing buzz and a third series has been approved.

With more fist pumping and battling grenades than ever, the Jersey Shore crew will escape the cold Northeast and head to the heat of Miami. Spending winter together, MTV cameras will document brand new break-ups, make-ups and of course endless pick-ups as the boys creep and the girls gorilla hunt.

The success behind the first season meant that the Jersey Shore Season 2 premiere in the US broke series records with 5.3 million total viewers and marked MTV’s best season premiere rating in more than seven years.

The 12 part series airs on MTV Tuesdays at 9:30pm from September 7.

  1. True, but only because the second was extended from 9 eps to 12

I was going on the assumption that season 1 had 9 eps so would season 2 as well but they actually have 12 scheduled..
