Survivor: Nicaragua update
Good news for Survivor fans as the season premiere is extended and we fall into line.

Good win here for Survivor fans….
Nine’s premiere of Survivor: Nicaragua next Tuesday night is now a double episode.
With the second episode airing this week in the US, Aussie viewers will have caught up to the US.
Plans for a replay of 20 to 1 are now, mercifully, shelved to make room for the new season (cue applause).
It begins at 9pm following Top Gear Australia.

This has made me so happy –

“Do you really want our schedule looking a lot like the US schedule? I certainly don’t.”
…If it bumps cheap insulting programming like 20 to 1 then yes! I wouldn’t mind it at all.
@ Peter – I think people will record it on their PVR’s.
Nine are only giving us Survivor double because of the ratings, 20 to 1 would rate less.
To all those people who say that FTA channels should fasttrack all their shows just hours after the US, the scenario is just not possible.
Do you really want our schedule looking a lot like the US schedule? I certainly don’t.
I must say i’m impressed. Well done nine for doing the right thing for a change. Really looking forward to getting my Survivor fix.
Good job Channel Nine – you did the right thing (how many times can we say that to Nine of all networks?)
Excellent news. Wish they’d do the same for Fringe!
Yippy! I am looking forward to my Survivor fix.
Just watched episode 2 and it was fantastic. Glad to see it again next week.
Great! Channel 9 please do not edit out the bit at the end of the first episode where they show how people voted. This has happened in the past when showing back to back episodes.
Still not fasttracked enough for me, they should try showing Survivor on thursdays, only a few hours after it screens in america. Anyway this is a lot better to previous years. Well done Nine
but that means an 11pm finish right?
i wonder if viewers will stick around well past bedtime
Great news. I can’t wait to watch it!
Most excellent news. Well done Channel 9!
I’ll still be tempted to watch episode two this weekend since the first episode was so very good. And I agree that all FTA channels need to utilise the same definition of “fast-tracking” that Channel 10 uses for “Glee”.
this is fantastic news. Still, if Ch10 can do it with Glee & Ch7 with TAR why not Ch9 airing the episode within atleast 24hours after the US?
