The eX-it Factor for Simon Cowell…

Simon Cowell intends to depart both his British TV shows, The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent, to concentrate on the US.

Simon Cowell says he intends to depart both his British TV shows, The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, in order to concentrate on the US version of The X Factor.

Cowell will launch the series in the US in 2011 but the current timeline will conflict with his British obligations.

“At the moment you are going to see me doing one show next year – and not one in England,” he said.

“I have a contract for this year and that is it.”

But an An ITV source said last night: “We expect he’ll be back on The X Factor. It’s such a huge show and Simon is integral to it.

“We envision moving the show to October or November and screening the auditions while he does the live show in the States. Then he can return for the live shows in January.”

Meanwhile AbLisa, those two UK girls who stunned everyone with their on stage stoush during X Factor auditions, have landed their first gig.

They will appear at Surrey pub Scrumptious in Guildford, on Sunday.

  1. Simon Cowell is an integral part of the show but they should most likely just let him go to the states and he is obviously doing it for more exposure and money u.s networks can pay him more than the u.k networks because there is a bigger audience in the states. They can just get another simon cowell wanabie to replace him will not be as good as the reall thing but hey these shows are short lived anyway.

  2. I definitely concur with Craig here; when I read the story I was extremely cynical. Sure, he needs to concentrate on the US version to make it a success, but to drop both BGT and UK X Factor judging jobs would be silly. Surely he can just be a guest-type judge for BGT and skip the auditions altogether. For X Factor that is obviously not possible since he needs to be a mentor as well.

  3. What’s this world come to when two bogans who make a fool of themselves get a gig while actually people who have real good talent are turned down…i mean the world has gone crazy

  4. something tells me this will be a ploy to get more money from ITV at the end of his contract. Make no mistake, ITV would be a shell without…Got talent and X-factor, they will pay him Whatever he wants to keep the shows around.
