Airdate: Nikita. Bumped: Fringe

Maggie Q stars as Nikita, a rogue spy and assassin coming to GO! And an update on plans for Fringe's third season.

GO! has done a little juggling on its scheduling which will see Fringe‘s premiere now delayed to Wednesday November 10th.

Instead it will premiere Nikita at 9:30pm on Thursday October 28th.

Based on the 1990 French film of the same name, the TV series stars Maggie Q as Nikita, a rogue spy and assassin, now working to bring down the secret government agency which recruited her.

In this sexy and suspenseful new series from executive producer McG, and featuring international action star Maggie Q in the title role, Nikita has gone rogue. Division is an secret government agency whose operatives have severed ties to family, friends and society. Trained to be invisible assassins, no one ever leaves Division, except Nikita, who has made it her mission to bring down the corrupt organization. Also stars Lyndsy Fonseca, Aaron Stanford and Shane West.

The series from the CW Network began in the US on September 9th.

Fringe was due to return to GO! on Thursday Oct 28 but some TV Tonight readers noted it would compete with sci-fi series Caprica on 7mate and was better in its traditional Wednesday slot.

This amendment returns it to Wednesdays at 9:30pm.

  1. Hi. I saw the orig. TV series in the 90s; it was great! I’ve now seen episodes 2 & 3 of this new one & I reckon it’s tops too! Missed the very first one tho; did anyone record it?

  2. @Secret Squïrrel- it won’t clash with spartacus coz they are on the same channel, spartacus will have finished up by then so the timeslot will be free.

  3. Nine’s GO! actually listening?! Well they have a big hole to dig themselves out of after pulling Fringe after a few eps late in 2008, bringing it back, messing with the order, and pulling it again. But this helps.

    And go, TV Tonight!

  4. Nikita should be aired with Human Target. not sure on what ratings were like before it was taken off after 6 eps but if the ratings were bad then they should put it on at 10:30 thursdays and put Listener on wednesdays at 10:30. GO clearly prefer to put comedies at 8:30 – 9:30. speaking of, they need to bring back Community and Inbetweeners, as well as air Justified. its mid October already and they need to air these shows sooner rather then later!! hurry up GO.

  5. I guess I can wait another two weeks to have it on a better night. However, it still clashes with Spartacus and you’d think there’d be some overlap of audiences. It doesn’t make sense for them to steal people from one of their own channels. I think Fringe’s original slot of 8:30 on Wed is still the best sol’n overall. Then put Human Target on at 9:30 as it wasn’t rating that well anyway and can’t justify an 8:30 slot.

  6. This is strange as Top Gear (I assume it is still on that night) will be on before it…. hardly a female skewed show.

Would be better if they had it in the timeslot before Gossip Girl once LadetteTO Lady finishes.

  7. Hey I was concerned Fringe and Caprica were the same time and day but
remembered GO re run that night programming overnight
Is this still the case David ?

  8. To the programmers down at Nine/GO!/GEM: The tasks related to a job are just too much for most Australian employees aren’t they? There is no wonder we aren’t world business leaders. We just aren’t very good at business.

  9. they really do just throw their schedule together as they think of things don’t they, some trace of stability, organisation and planning ahead would go a long way imo.
