Yet another Underbelly could hang in the balance if legal proceedings against [edit] go ahead.
[Edit] and Jason Roberts were found guilty of the 1998 murders of Victoria Police officers Rod Miller and Gary Silk. [Edit] is currently serving a life sentence.
The murders are the subject of an Underbelly telemovie, Tell Them Lucifer Was Here.
But despite [edit] being sentenced for the crime, he may yet have to answer to another case in New South Wales.
The first series of Underbelly could not air in Victoria due to pending legal cases. It has still not aired in full in Victoria.
Nine came close to scheduling the telemovie last month but quickly changed its mind.
In August, pay TV channel TV1 had to pull its series Killing Time, based on the memoirs of convicted drug dealer and former barrister Andrew Fraser, from the schedule indefinitely because of a looming court case.
Tell Them Lucifer Was Here is one of three Underbelly telemovies completed.
Amended.

I’m over Underbelly. Please sir, no more.
Shelley’s right, they should stop making the Underbelly series after next year so there won’t be any massive legal dramas. Don’t know when Underbelly 1 will be on in Victoria, don’t care, I’m not a fan of true crime shows.
Get an original idea Nine.
Stop making “true crime” shows and you won’t have this problem any more.
Legal suspension, i like it.
I wonder if we can we use a legal technicality to suspend the much over used “talent” show format too ?
Yet another Underbelly? It’s getting a bit tired now!
