  1. This show sucks – grant denier has No reason to host this culinary show – the chairman seems he was chosen just becuase he’s oriental – the iron chef go up against amiture chefs. This is the reason Iropn Chef in USA, UK failed – need to follow Japan format more carefully

Chairman Kaga researched THE best Chefs from around the world for the iron chef’s to compete against – do you think the iron Chef’s of Australia have much chance of losing if there best talent is some backyard pub home cook 🙁 The taste testing at the end also is not following format This is the reason why Iron Chef Japan was a success. Why did you even bother

    Iron Chefs – competetor suggestions
1 Christian J. Fischer 2 Bobby Flay 3 Mario Batali 4 Edwin M Scholly 5 Bernard Matz 6 Ming Tsai 7 Sara Moulton 8 Jamie Oliver 9 Wolfgang Puck 10 Gordon Ramsey 11 Rick Stein

  2. I agree, Grant seems to be in everything but the bath, so to speak. Get some new blood in there, ch 7. And, don’t try to copy the Masterchef chatty format, make your own show special.

  3. Just finished watching the mystery ingredient chocolate episode & was absolutely not impressed to find out how poor Chris had been rated!!!! Is this show rigged or what?? His presentation & originality bet the Iron Chef hands down, so I ask why didn’t Chris win?? Chris if you actually read this, well done & you really deserved to win!

  4. Honestly, stop all the commentary – we don’t want to hear the chef’s banging on all the way through the meal – it isn’t masterchef. Just cook and present and let someone else do the talking. and lose grant denyer

  5. The Iron Chef Australia show should lose Grant Denyer as host and let Chairman Kanga host instead.
7 needs to stick to the original Japanese format of the show if they want to make this version a ratings success.

  6. From the previews it would seem it includes the reality show-style contestant commentary – exciting stuff like “and I put it on the plate”. How very exciting and not very Iron Chefy.

  7. Western Networks have an ordianary track record when it comes to remaking a local or western version of a international show. This will be no different. Iron Chef the original japan version is very good the fact that you can understand the language makes it that more exciting, but i digres this will not work if this starts to faulter 7 will pull the plug on it, after all they are money or nothing network. Also the fact that Grant Denyer is hosting is also enough to not watch it, he has become 7s version of eddie everywhere.
