Today is the final day that Adam Boland oversees Sunrise.
He has been Excutive Producer of the Seven morning ship for nine years.
The job will now be comandeered by Michael Pell.
“What a ride – but I’m looking forward to having some time out to re-charge,” Boland told TV Tonight.
“I can’t thank my team enough for everything they’ve done. It was a genuine privilege to work with such talented people. They will only go from strength to strength under Michael’s leadership. And frankly, I can’t wait to be a viewer at home in bed!”
He exits the show as it remains number one. On Wednesday (during its Hawaii week) it pulled 404,000 to Today‘s 343,000. On Monday the gap was wider: 401,000 to 305,000.
Boland will remain part time as a consultant with Seven and running his own production company.

He should get a job with NBC Today Show as he copied everything they did.
Sad but he will always be part of the Sunrise Family. My prediction, in a Grant-like fashion, he will be back after a few years.
