Airdate: Hadley!

By David Knox on November 15, 2010 / Filed Under Pay TV 18

Ray Hadley’s weekly talk show to premiere tomorrow is defiantly branded Hadley! (including with the !).

The 2GB radio host will go head-to-head with a panel of newsmakers and regular guests, discussing the week’s issues as well as featuring interviews.

SKY News CEO Angelos Frangopoulos said: “Ray is a natural talent and has proven his extraordinary popularity with the success of his radio career. We’re looking forward to him joining SKY News as a part of our commitment to national debate and discussion.”

Never short of an opinion, Hadley said: “I’m doing this for one reason, I find it challenging and invigorating.

“I’m in a comfortable position now to only do what I want, and when I was approached by Angelos his enthusiasm for the project was both evident and contagious.”

Hadley has held the number one morning radio show in the Sydney market since 2003 and is syndicated in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.

Hadley! premieres on SKY News on Tuesday, November 16 at 8.15pm.

    I agree with Roslyn 100%.
Sky news is all shit, so Hadley with fit very nicely indeed.
The bully lapping dog of R. Murdock and bros. of Alan Jones, Kayle Sandilans and others.
Good bye Reg and don’t comeback….rude %#* motor mouth

    This show is just terrible.

I bet his first guest is Alan Jones. How right wing can you get?

  5. Roslyn November 16, 2010 at 2:25 pm -

Does anyone take this buffoon seriously? Sorry, he is nothing but a bully and I can find better things to watch.

Nothing like Fox News. David Spears and Keiran Gilbert come across as Labor men. Especially Gilbert.

Don’t worry. This show won’t last. He’ll quit when he realises his audience is 9,000 people.

Shame we don’t have a left leaning news network like MSNBC in the US.

This is just Fox News lite.

    And seriously…Who watches a show at 8:15pm?

  9. BM-dog November 15, 2010 at 6:35 pm -

What, so it’s a musical? Very strange choice of title.

Last week on 2GB, Hadley said he has done a few practice runs of the show and he doubts he will get it right before the premiere. If Sky gets the Australia Network contract I can see this right-leaning program doing very well in Asia!

At last he won’t be able to hang up on people who have a different point of view (as per his radio show). The guy’s a petulant bully, who makes John Laws appear modest. Going on the press so far, he’ll only have three types of guests: Liberal voters, country music singers and people who think everything he says is right. Maybe he can chat to himself every night.

This is the sort of rubbish that will convice Canberra not to award the Australia Network contract to Sky News. This is a bad business decision.

    Sky News is clueless.

While I like the idea of opinion news, Sky’s cluelessness shows here in many areas. And he exclamation point….really?

This show has had zero promotion. Zero press. Zero publicity. Here the news network is finally after 10 years on the air launching an appointment news show – and they give it zero marketing, publicity & promotion.

Also this show needs to be weeknights – every night at a regular timeslot. Not one a week. And 8.15pm? What kind of timeslot is that. Who is going to tune in at 8.15pm?

Why not 7.30 Weeknights or 8.30 Weeknights.

Sigh. The Fox News transformation is nearly complete…

Oh god, Sky News is following Fox News path.

The exclamation mark makes it look like a sitcom title.
    Oh, I see….

    Looking forward to it!
