Movie Extra Webfest has announced its fifteen finalists who are competing for a $50,000 production budget to produce a seven part web series.

The finalists’ trailers will broadcast on six of the Movie Network Channels from now until the winner announcement on 12th January, 2011. The winning series will premiere online at www.mnc.tv and broadcast on air next year.

Executive Producer, Christopher Berry said “We have been delighted with the response to the competition and the massive number of fans who have joined Webfest. The quality of entries is outstanding with many displaying great originality of concept. The tough task of choosing finalists has been decided through a combination of creativity, execution, story, series potential and number of votes.”

The finalists were chosen from 100 entries by a select panel of industry judges including Gyton Grantley,  Marc Fennell, Emma Moroney, and Christopher Berry.
