To me, the one on Thursday will be a ‘how freaky do they look now?”. I’m expecting to see cheek and chin implants and stretched foreheads.
I just want to thank you for telling us about the appearances of J.K. Rowling and Jon Stewart. I would have missed them otherwise.
It’s a shame that Modern Family wasn’t live in the studio.
I wouldn’t mind if TEN could repeat a couple of eps of Oprah on a Sunday afternoon. ie. the Glee, Michael Jackson, Sound of Music etc.
That’s sad news, Belinda! Thanks for the reply. 🙁
It makes sense that they finish up at different times of the month as they would then run a full year on ABC2 (Colbert started before Stewart). Ad-free Stewart & Colbert was a blessing! I’d imagine ABC really undermined Foxtel/Austar’s ad-filled, over priced offerings an hour earlier.
Maybe ABC2 could replace them with HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher? Even though he only runs once a week. Maybe Craig Ferguson if TEN’s not interested?
@Stan, there is talk about it in the TV Lounge. Colbert finishes on ABC2 early January, Stewert finishes at the end of January.
A little off topic, but does anyone know what’s happening with Stewart & Colbert on ABC2? I’m hearing (through a little comment by a SMH writer) that Foxtel might’ve locked out their broadcasts with a new deal.
I hope it’s not true!
Thanks for the heads up. I will watch my first ever episode of Oprah tomorrow.
