Carols in the Domain returns to Sydney for its 28th event, this year with hosts Grant Denyer and Kylie Gillies.

Confirmed acts on the bill so far include Georgie Parker, Jay Laga’aia, Australia’s Got Talent winners Mark Vincent and Justice Crew, Felicity Urquhart and The Wiggles.

“Nothing is more magical than the spirit of Christmas and being part of a show that has 28 years of tradition is such a fantastic experience. The sound is a symphony of joy. I always have said that the Carols experience even softens the hardest of men,” said Grant Denyer.

Kylie Gillies added, “It’s such an honour to host the Carols, I’m thrilled. My husband Tony and I, together with our kids have been attending the Carols for a few years now. It’s a beautiful ritual leading up to the big day. And I love that it gets televised across the country. I grew up in Tamworth and would always watch the Carols on TV as a kid.”

The Salvation Army’s OASIS Youth Support Network is once again the official charity.

It will be shown live on Seven on Saturday, December 18, at 8.30pm AEDT.

  1. Yuck havn’t watched this program in years always have had to many channel 7 people singing who can’t sing, and the guests are not much better……I will be watching the Melbourne Carols as normal

  2. Is this poor man’s Carol’s By Candlelight still going? It may have a bigger crowd attending than CBC, but Carols in the Domain is nothing by a cheap imitation.

  3. Put money on the same people singing the same songs and them ending with the same medley finale! I guess some people like tradition at Christmas, but enough is enough!

  4. Does Justice Crew have to appear at everything these days? I don’t find them the least bit entertaining. No-one else on the list to make me watch either. I guess the X factor winner might make an appearance as well.
