A few scheduling changes have been sneaking through ABC recently.

Yesterday the network borrowed a leaf from commercial networks and bumped a show on the day it was due to air.

factual series To The Manor Bowen was moved to 10:35pm, while a repeat of Kevin McCloud’s Grand Tour took its place at 9:35pm instead.

ABC1 has also dropped plans to air Wallace And Gromit’s World Of Invention in January while series 2 of Getting On didn’t air in September.

ABC1 also dropped the underperforming Strictly Speaking but plans to resume it at some point, yet to be announced.

  1. I only saw the last three episodes of the series as I did not know it was on.
    Please when will it be shown again on ABC. or can I buy DVD if it will
    not be shown again I really enjoyed lawrence and jackie and girls.

  2. I hope Episode 8 which was bumped due to flood coverage will be rescheduled soon and advertised well!
    I have watched them all on the ABC online TV because it’s on too late for this worker! But they are only added after airing!

  3. I would like the whole series of To the Manor Bowen repeated, but at least the ones that were never announced as being at a different time. Pretty slack!!! And to follow that the last episode has yet to air due to the reporting of the flood last night. Hope we are going to see this episode next week.

  4. Agree with Goonies. It is also my new favourite show. Didn’t think I’d like LLB but he grows on you. We were on holiday and set the video – only to come home to a repeat of what is not Kevin McCloud’s best work.

  6. Nice of you to tell us, no adverts nothing ABC for the rescheduling. Another thing with ABC am sick of consant repeats of repeats on ABC 2, such as the Peep Show at the moment plus they’re not in order. Also, Powderfinger again running, but this time on 2 next Friday. This will be the 3rd time within 5 weeks of showing it, Another thing all there so called shows, such as Outnumbered, Spooks are all a few years old, yet they say its “brand new”?

    Anothwr thing why are you now showing Breaking Bad, 3 years old now on ABC1 yet was shown on ABC2 again recently. I am at a loss at the moment with ABC digital with scheduling.

  9. Oh man!! Nearly did my nut last night. This is my new favourite show at the moment.

    How hard would it have been to update your EPG ABC?

    Luckily I am up late of a night and after having a shower came out to find it was on, I had only missed about 10 minutes.

    It had been rating as well, not great but I think it made the top 20….

  10. Extremely peeved. Set the video and went to watch it today. Got three and a half minutes of it. And I had checked the yourtv website earlier on the day, what more can I have done than that?!

  11. It would be nice that if a station changed their programming schedule they updated the program guide they broadcast as part of their digital broadcast.

    I went out at the last minute last night and set the PVR just as I left and ended up with the Kevin McCloud’s program.

  12. This was really annoying as I had flicked over to watch it and couldn’t figure out what was going on as Kevin McCloud’s Grand Tour had already started and thought it would be on soon. I did a search on Twitter and noticed a few people ask the same thing and also this tweets from @ ABCTV_australia
