  1. I agree with the “Time and Place”comment although the naivety of some posters unable to see through the political spin doctors opportunistic gift will enable her exoneration for past neglect, waste and arrogance.
Regarding the ongoing need for both 7 and 9 to come up with more and more exaggerated and sensationalized plays on statistics, is verging on comical.

  2. Seven had great coverage today. Their team was back on board. It was good to see Chris Bath and then Bec Maddern leading the news this afternoon and evening plus i thought Sunrise was fantastic in the morning. Nine on the other hand after doing all that work yesterday decides a cricket match is more important. They just lost all credibility from me.

I think yesterday Seven was caught off guard but today improved out of sight while to me it seemed Nine started falling behind a bit. But you know what its not about network vs network its about a major crisis here. All networks are doing their best under the circumstances. *cough cough* Cricket? Seriously?

The major problem here is all the crap people are saying about the local, state and federal governments. Give them a damn break. I would love to see some of you do a better job. Anna has done a remarkable job and you know what Tony Abbott was out of line earlier in the week announcing the dam plans during the crisis and his stupid idiotic comments: “We will hold the government to blah blah blah blah” Go and get a life Mr Opposition leader. I don’t give a stuff! We need to focus on the things at hand. That discussion is a later debate. I can’t believe i voted for that idiot.

So if we are to vote on who’s winning the TV coverage between Nine and Seven its now locked at 1-1 imo.

  3. Yes, can’t believe Channel Seven was the only station covering this press conference Live and – despite Anna Bligh’s comments that the signer was there to ensure everyone had access to the information update – then proceeded to cut the signer out of the entire shot for the duration of the conference. Was no one communciating with the camera operator? Surely a smart director should have told him to pull back and show the all-important signer.

  4. Why is GEM showing Frends when the cricket is on???? Surely a TV series from 10 years ago isn’t more important than the cricket!!! Could actually give us some entertainment

  5. Armchair Analyst – please place your right wing bias elsewhere thanks – not needed at a time like this.

Anna Bligh has done a great job from what I can see. She’s meant to be a leader of a state and is doing just that – under what must be incredibly trying circumstances.

Those genuine in their thoughts for distressed Queenslanders have given them strength and others who want to use this catastrophe to score political points need to grow up.

As for the TV coverage – it’s been great – all have been informative and up to date – I can only hope QLD’s resolve to quickly re-build such a great state.

  6. i have been watching nines coverage which has been simply outstanding but showing the cricket on the main channel in sydney is not good the cricket should be on GO or gem if people want to watch the cricket then they will watch go or gem
