‘Tis the season for renewals?
Early renewals anyway.
ABC has given the greenlight for several of its hit shows to return including:
– Modern Family
– Grey’s Anatomy
– Private Practice
– Castle
– The Middle
– Cougar Town
No word yet on Desperate Housewives or Brothers and Sisters but as these are early approvals don’t read too much into that just yet.
Meanwhile ABC Family has also renewed Pretty Little Liars, currently airing on GO! and The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

A season 8 renewal of the DH show will be hugely expensive one, as everyone is only signed up to season 7 and would want higher payment.
How much longer has Grays Anatomy really got? It feels tired, which isn’t surprising for a show that has had such a long run.
It’s my understanding that there is a contractual agreement for 7 seasons of Desperate, although that means little, I guess, if ratings suck.
I’m glad The Middle and Grey’s Anatomy have been renewed. Both are quality shows worth watching, with clever writing, good characters and interesting storylines.
When on earth is the latest season of Castle going to be on Aus TV?
Love The Middle. It’s great. Maybe because I’m a stressed out mum and I totally relate to it. Glad it’s renewed!!!
Cougar Town!!!!!!! Funniest show on tv at the moment.
i quite like the middle too, happy about those renuals, but none are surprising.
FOX has now renewed Raising hope which is slightly surprising, it wasn’t rating that well. atleast not in the same league as shows that get renuals this early
@ Phoenix727 – Any regular watcher of The Middle will tell you it’s not remotely similar to Malcolm In The Middle. Probably the reason why it’s such a ‘bad remake’ is because it’s not a remake at all. 🙂
The Middle is one of the few US comedies that actually makes me laugh. I think it’s because my family is so much like them – wait – is that a good thing?
I’m so disappointed that the Middle has been renewed. Apart from being a terrible show it’s just a bad remake of Malcolm in the Middle, which was terrible already.
Saying that I’m really pleased Castle has been renewed if for no other reason than to further demonstrate the talents of Nathan Fillon who is a truly excellent actor.
Glad Pretty Little Liars has been renewed. Love that show!!!!!
No real surprises here apart from Secret Life getting a 4th season…
