Nice work Rick. It’s not like he said ‘wonderful’ or anything. Slow news day it seems.
To use the term terrific in it’s olden day meaning shows how old Wilkins is.
Richard Wilkins constantly horrifies me.
Another reason i don’t watch Today.
him and steve jacobs shouldn’t be on tv. end of story
hahahaha lol…I was trying to think of just 1 more wisecrack but they’ve all been used here… +10
why is he still saying things??
“how does this idiot stay employed?”
He has beautiful hair, that’s how.
@Knowfirst
Free gigs – Talking – Reading.
If that’s hard work , you can count me in!!
Yet another reason I avoid the Today show!
The word “horrific” should be used in all stories referencing Richard Wilkins.
@knowfirst
Sorry but he’s too annoying to earn my respect.
Richard Wilkins: The comedy gift that keeps on giving!
Richard is better than Angela Bishop and Nelson Aspen or James Tobin. They are all hopeless!
Like Jimmy Buffet… it’s just a stage he’s going through… boom-tish
Wilkins interviewed Buffet just a couple of hours before the concert and was there at the concert. He then has to get up at 3am to work on the program plus Nine News/ACA… have some respect. The guy works bloody hard.
@Rick
Could we please get Wilkins to try and say ‘Etymology’ on the air?
This guy is an embarrassment to any network. I say keep him on at Nine, he fits right in.
Is it time for grandpa to move into the retirement village?
To give him an excuse he doesn’t deserve, the etymology of terrific and horrific aren’t that dissimilar.
Terrific:
1660s, “frightening,” from L. terrificus “causing terror or fear,” from terrere “fill with fear” (etymonline.com/index.php?search=terrific&searchmode=none)
Horrific:
“causing horror,” 1650s, from L. horrificus “terrible, dreadful,” lit. “making the hair stand on end,” (etymonline.com/index.php?search=horrific&searchmode=none)
He’s bound to have a few senior’s moments these days.
