Rove McManus is set to make a comeback to Australian television, this time on Pay TV.

Rove McManus is set to make a comeback to Australian television.

The former TEN host has signed a deal with Foxtel.

He will host a one on one style interview show from Los Angeles.

McManus has been largely based in the US since ending his long-running variety show on TEN in 2009.

His last television project, Say It Now, a talk show co-hosted with Valerie Bertinelli didn’t get past the Pilot stage with CBS.

  1. I disconnected Foxtel November 2010 i don’t miss it. Foxtel has too many promo’s & too many repeats. The Comedy channel used to be good but it’s pretty lame content now

  2. He had such an unnatural connection with those he interviewed, it was awkward and clumsy to watch. An embarrassment and a far cry from the caliber of Graham Norton or Parkinson. And @RichoTB, Craig Ferguson I think is way more funnier than Rove ever was. Watching Fergasun, I laugh naturally, along with the audience. However with Rove, his jokes were met with insincere laughter from his audience, and were often dragged on and squeezed as much as possible when he did receive genuine laughter.

  3. Rove mostly directs any interview back to his thoughts, his experience and his humour. He is a try hard. Trying to be too clever. That is what make his guests feel uncomfortable. Apart form that he is a natural in front of the camera.
