Adam’s chat show wish list
So who are the three people that are on Adam Hills' guest "wish list?"

Julia Gillard, Bindi Irwin and Billy Connolly -those are the 3 people Adam Hills would like to have on In Gordon Street Tonight.
Two of them should be pretty achievable.
“I met Julia a few years ago on a flight from Adelaide to Melbourne when she was deputy prime minister and she came over and had a chat and sat down next to me and we chatted for half an hour,” he says.
“She was so down to earth and lovely and I think that doesn’t come across in press conferences with her. And I’d love to have her on set for no other reason than to access that Julia who came out on that flight.
Hills described Bindi Irwin as an old soul in a young body.
Getting Connolly might take a bit longer…
He also wants to try to have people on who viewers wouldn’t necessarily see anywhere else -but given Arj Barker and Tim Minchin both appeared on Live from Planet Earth first they have arguably fallen a bit short of the mark. Such doubling up hasn’t been helpful to either new show.
Otherwise In Gordon Street Tonight is settling in nicely, and the longer interviews in the second episode was also welcome. Despite a slight drop in figures last week the show is finding a good balance.
“For me a talk show is like a stand-up comedy show. You have a few acts, you have an MC, but it’s what happens in among that, that’s where the joy is. And I can’t sit on stage for an hour and not talk to the audience. I find so much comedy fodder in the people who are sitting in front of me. So I’m hoping that that will come across as well,” he says.

You only get to choose three and you choose Bindi Irwin, of all people? Seriously??
He could prob get Billy’s cousin Gerry instead! 😉
Bogues: Yes well aware when the show is recorded. I don’t think that changes the point both shows booked both acts.
loving this show. Billy Connolly should be achievable, he’ll be here next month after all!
I’m not a Bindi Irwin hater, but I don’t find her fascinating or engaging. Just slightly annoying. I do love Terri and Robert 🙂
IGST is recorded on a Monday night, so Tim and Arj actually recorded their segments on that show before LFPE. I hope ABC bring the show back for a second season later this year.
