  1. Thanks GO! for the double episodes and I see according to two online TV Guides there’ll be two more next week. I hope then they just stick to one a week after that, the four episodes, because I believe the U.S. will skip for a week i.e. Feb 25 (ep 15 ) & March 11 (ep 16 ) . At least that’s what it says in Wikipedia (I know things can change or it might be wrong). I assume they’d know more about that and have more reliable information than I have. I look forward to seeing all the episodes.

  2. Thanks Go! for the double episode!
‘Fringe’ keeps getting better and better.
While I agree with those who said that the earlier episodes might have seemed simpler in comparison… if you take another look, it really pays off. You realise how strongly little things then tie in to what’s happening now (and things still to come…).
As for those worried about Fox’s plans, don’t be –
Fox Entertainment president Kevin Reilly on ‘Fringe’- “I’m so psyched about it. It does go to show you the loyalty of the genre audience, when you get the right show. I’m so grateful to that audience, I’d like to shake their hands. We have a lot of passion for that show here.”
There is a grand plan, and season 1 was only the prologue. 🙂 You will be rewarded if you keep watching.
Also, for those of you who watch on Fixplay (or try to), fear not. Fixplay will soon become Hulu. You have my word.

  3. Excellent news if it means we can get closer to US airdates. Don’t consider myself psychotic, obsessed or deranged. A little nerdy maybe. Someone who likes scifi, drama & comedy. Fringe has all three.
I think RichoTB needs to go home & rethink his life.

  4. @RichoTB – here’s what I do when I don’t like a show, I watch something else!

I still like the show. I just don’t get why Nine/GO! want to do this, I’m sure some fans will miss the 2nd ep thinking it’s a re-run and then realizing too late when they tune in next week.

  5. @RichoTB – you’re joking, right? What have fans of Fringe like me ever done to you to warrant such a stream of invective? No doubt every niche show has it’s odd-ball followers, but to characterise its entire fan-base in the manner in which you have is way out of line.

If you don’t like a show, don’t watch it. For you to be able to accurately gauge how “horrible” later seasons are, you must actually be watching some of the eps, which is odd behaviour for someone who supposedly hates it as much as you do.

Calling for it to be cancelled when you have so much more choice now is childish in the extreme. Grow up.

  6. Great news! Looking forward to it. A lot of the episodes lately have ended at a point where I’ve thought waiting a week to see how it continues was too much, so to have a double will hopefully lessen that.

  7. Psychotic, obsessed, deranged… sounds like me! Happy to be part of such esteemed company who spend time enjoying a show rather than putting down the people who do.

  8. RichoTB is greatly mistaken, Fringe was indeed bad initially but it has grown into one of the few really interesting and involving SF shows on TV today. It went from a very poor X-Files knockoff in season 1 to something quite unique and different in seasons 2 and 3. That alone makes it interesting, it’s almost unknown for initially bad programs to become good over time.

Each season (so far) has been better than the last and the current one is excellent. Which probably does mean it’ll get cancelled soon – after all they cancelled the intelligent and interesting FlashForward and renewed the appalling V didn’t they?

I do agree with RichoTB about one thing though, FOX doesn’t need shows like Fringe, it has more than enough crap on without it.

  9. Thanks for this info, David. I’ve now set my DVD recorder to include the second episode.

@RichoTB — If I dislike a show, I just ignore it and respect the right of others to like it. After all, everyone has different tastes. I certainly wouldn’t waste my time attacking a show with the vitriol and venom you’ve shown here.

  10. It started off pretty OK but now has just died.
Swapping between 2 universes all the time with 1 episode focusing in 1 universe and the next episode focusing on the other universe.

The stories now are just plain silly.

  11. Really hope this show gets cancelled! I hate it! The pilot episode was horrible and the later seasons have been lame as well. And all the fans of this show are the most psychotic, obsessed, deranged on the internet, even worse than Chuck’s. The ratings have been slipping the past few weeks since it moved to Friday, FOX doesn’t need crap like this on its network
