Hillsy chats to “the real Rake”

Adam Hills will chat to Charles Waterstreet, the inspiration for Richard Roxburgh’s character in Rake.

On Adam Hills In Gordon Street Tonight, Hillsy will chat to Charles Waterstreet, the inspiration for Richard Roxburgh’s character in Rake.

Tim Minchin, who stole Ben Elton‘s show with his black comedy song, will perform the 1988 Crowded House hit ‘Better Be Home Soon’.

New Project Runway Australia host, Megan Gale, will also appear (hmm, any questions on the Andy Lee break-up?).

Dave O’Neil hosts an impromptu speed dating night and American band, Neon Trees, closes the show with their hit single ‘Animal’.

There are a few other bits and pieces too but let’s leave some things as a surprise.

It airs at 8:30pm tonight on ABC1.

  1. I love this show, had a good laugh last night. Didn’t know that Adam used to be the warm up guy on Wheel of Fortune. Loved the prop he kept. Though the opening credits remind me of Later with Jools Holland

@edc I don’t like Tim Minchin either. Though I know he’s really popular.

Just saw that next weeks guest are Carl Barron & Jessica Mauboy plus Lauren Jackson & Jon Toogood

  2. @edc: comedians – you either love ’em or you hate ’em. I think Tim Minchin is very funny. Quick witted, clever and sharp. Ross Noble and Peter Helliar on the other hand both drive me up the wall. Hope neither appear on IGST.

  3. Luv this show and it has only been on for 2 weeks. I was excited about Be Elton as well as comedy is my favorite tv shows, but man that was disappointing when the Elton show was just a copy of Fast Foward and Comedy Company from the 80’s! (hence the Bree and the other chick, Kylie Mole)

Ben Elton just has no idea that life has moved on from the eighties!

And he wonders why his show is shit!
