Premier Media seeks new CEO

Premier Media Group has started a global search for a new CEO following a decision by David Malone to pursue other opportunities with News Corp in London and New York.

PMG’s Chairman John Alexander said the Board intended to launch a global and local search, including internal candidates.

“David has overseen extraordinary growth at PMG; establishing FOX Sports as the pre-eminent sports broadcasting brand in Australia. He has created a platform that requires leadership from an outstanding television executive capable of delivering the same kind of revenue and profit growth that we have enjoyed under David’s stewardship,” he said.

Recent media reports that Malone is leaving later this month were denied.

He will exit his current position mid-year.
