A late change to tonight’s 60 Minutes will see Liz Hayes talking to the girl at the centre of the St Kilda Football Club naked photos / Ricky Nixon scandals.

And this time her identity isn’t pixellated.

It airs 7:30pm tonight on Nine.

Updated: A media lawyer, who asked to remain anonymous, said last night the action appeared to contravene a court suppression order.

Nine executive producer Hamish Thomson said: ”Nine denies that it contravened any laws.” –The Age.

  3. 4:3 – and the recent Wikileaks story. Although I did notice that parts of the Lady Gaga story where 16:9 (like some shots of her show), just not the on camera interview with Gaga.

    Yes this is 2011, fix the satellite or use broadband to DL the segment, even in full HD it shouldn’t take long with the speeds now available.

  4. Looks like 60 Minutes is gonna be in deep s**t now and I’m not talking about the ratings, wait till ACMA and Free TV Australia review this episode and make 60 Minutes cop a heavy fine!

  5. @ Jeremy…. anyone who is watching nine in adelaide or perth… your getting it via Mediahub….therefore any problems are from WIN tv… stop blaming ch9 cos they have nothing to do with Mediahub’s stuff ups!

  6. @CatFan – I totally agree with you…. only little correction in your comment the story was from ABC America….. but its the same when they have a CBS story also.

    I always find it funny too they use a widescreen version of the story on the commercials for the show (the sheen commercial even had the ABC logo blurred). Yet when they show the segment it is in 4:3. Was ame with the Gaga story last week.

    @bluey – I dont think the storys go up until monday anyway. So maybe check tomorrow

  7. This poor Girl.! Where is Mum and Dad.? At 16 ever young person needs some Guidant’s through life, she is such a good story teller and from what I’ve seen and heard this young person needs professional help.

    As for the Victorian football Club and Players that have let this go on for too long “should be ashamed”. The agent if found guilty should go to gaol.

  8. Anyone else notice that this story is not able to be replayed on the 60 minutes website? I am starting to think it is more than a technical hitch and more like the injunction too

  9. Another attention-seeking telling lies with no regard for what harm she might cause and, as with the Chk Chk girl, Nine gives her another 15 minutes and a bunch of cash she doesn’t deserve.

  10. I don’t believe that an ‘technical hitch’ has caused the interview to be cut halfway in Adelaide. They seem to have put a last-minute injunction on it, as it did not replayed at the end. Seems Nine also have trouble with ads as well, as @ JB said, Nine also abruptly ended an interview on Ellen the other day, also affected on the 5pm replay on GEM that afternoon.

  11. @Craig perhaps the satellite feeds Nine gets from CBS aren’t in 16:9. You’d think these days they’d send it as a video file over the internet.

  12. Why is it again the story from the US (Sheen) is not in wide screen 16:9, yes I will keep asking until I get an answer that makes sense, I know for a fact the air in HD 16:9 in the US. It just makes the segment look cheap and old.

  13. Hey David, that’s the American 60 minutes logo. Sorry, I’m a stickler for details 😉 The story in itself was light on anything new except the revelation she was never actually pregnant.

  14. Well that injunction must have gone through, cos it was pulled mid story tonight. Although i was watching Ellen one day and in the middle of an interview it cut to an ad break, so maybe Nine have a problem of cutting to ads. The story didn’t come back on though

  16. Re my last post @9Adelaide have twittered : We are so sorry #Adelaide. Technical issues caused the St Kilda School girl story to get cut off. We are working at getting it replayed.

    Sorry, but I am not convinced it was a Technical Issue – any other states have the interview cut, outside of NSW and Vic ?

  17. So… Why am I suppose to feel sorry for her?! She lied about her age, lied about being pregnant, lied about having a miscarriage and then released photos out of “revenge” based on all the lies. The entire catalyst for this story has been her lies.

    Channel 9 should be ashamed of themselves. Poor journalism, soft interview on someone who deserves to be grilled and a clear grab for ratings. A pathetic and weak story!

  18. How interesting…. in Adelaide, the interview got cut right at the time Liz was interviewing Andrew D from the AFL..

    Looks like someone has stepped in. Kim gets $200k for her interview – the viewers get a sudden commercial break halfway through the interview.

  22. There’s a rumour going around the interview with the girl was supposed to air next week, but the AFL applied for an injuction to the Victorian Supreme Court to stop it from airing. Hence the rush.
