Minor Spoiler: Erin McNaught has reportedly leaked that her model boyfriend Nathan Jolliffe will be a contestant on The Amazing Race Australia.
Seven has been watertight on information on the show, which began filming in early November. It will be none too happy about any leak.
But it may have been Weekend Today reporter Airlie Walsh who set the ball rolling, after tweeting McNaught.
“I just saw an ad for The Amazing Race with your beautiful boy. Can’t wait for the season premiere!” she wrote.
McNaught replied, “Hey babe that’s so exciting! OMG where? You actually saw Nath on it? Isn’t it still supposed to be secret? Arrrgh! So crazy!”
Hoowever a Seven spokeswoman said no promotions revealing the lineup of contestants were being shown and would not confirm any cast members.
More mysteriously, News Limited notes the Twitter posts vanished after calls to Seven.
At least it proves interest in the show is very high.

The series is expected to land after the US series on 7mate wraps.

My apologies to Grant Denyer , its Grant Bowler.
LOL idiots.
Oh great! A male model who looks like he’d be scared of sweating heavily because it will muck up his eyeliner.
I can’t wait to see him lose.
What is that Bimboes claim to fame again , unsure if i will watch , at least grant denyer can get on his soapbox to give the start command.
@roaringdave OMG I can’t believe you don’t think anyone says OMG
Oh and it helps when you have connections in the TV industry too (Erin McNaught)
Oh so it’s like Big Brother casting all over again, quick hand me that book of models, actors and extras we have a show to make!
Why do real people even bother to apply for these shows now days?
US version has nearly always had a model or two. So has Survivor.
@roaringdave, you’re clearly not up-to-date with current social networking uses. I ‘tweet’ my friends all the time, instead of SMS. It’s free. And it’s usually not important enough to warrant direct communication response. As for ‘OMG’. Simply have a look at any 20-something’s twitter feed…. it is littered with OMG, FML, BTW, GTG. Time to catch up roaringdave.
They better not be all fit beautiful people, the diversity on the original is one of the charms of it.
I saw this in my RSS feed – “Minor Spoiler: There’s been a leak on a contestant in The Amazing Race Australia.” – and expected a completely different story 😀
@ Sedi … yeah I am an old fart… 😉
LOL @ roaringdave – youre obviously showing your age!
Why wouldn’t they just text each other. Unless they aren’t such “good friends” that they don’t have each other’s number. And who really says ‘OMG’…
And we can expect to see TAR Australia in the same 6.30 Sunday timeslot as the current series But it will switch back to 7 from Mate – while the Sunday Night programme takes a mid-year break.
