  1. I wish they would stop showing the games live on main event in Brisbane and Sydney and instead put them on at 8:30 on Friday night on 7

  2. Adelaide and Perth are 7:30 local time sorry guys.

In Sydney and Brisbane only on Fox Main Event.

Live at 7.30pm in regional Victoria on Prime7 and into regional New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT on 7mate.

  3. I generally enjoy 7 Networks coverage of the AFL. They have pretty good commentators which clinches it for me. However i can not and do not want to put up with this crap. Why is it that victorians get it live and the rest of the nation has to suffer with a 1.5 hour delay, especially in this day and age even with the govt giving them the green light to show it on 7Mate. The only logical reason i can think of is that 7 thinks that only victorians will watch live AFL and nobody else will, which by the way is complete crap. Maybe the majority of the rugb league states will not but so what? 7 can just put it on 7 mate. The AFL have to grow some balls and demand that the whole nation gets live Friday Night AFL. If you think iam picking on 7 well maybe. I havent forgotten that Network Ten delayed the Thurseday Night season opener on both Ten and ONE HD.

  4. it’s a laugh that the afl say that the rights we are in now. was the best ever. brisbane and sydney fans of the game have been screwed over royally and qld and nsw will have new teams in the afl and we still can’t get the afl on at a decent time fta on friday night

  5. What about Adelaide?? Seven, don’t bid for the next AFL tv rights. Let someone who will show it live get the rights and then you can play all the BH&G you want.

  6. As a Carlton supporter, who was unable to get tickets unless I sit on the roof of the G, I’m glad 7 finally decided to do the right thing. These 2 have been the standout teams of the 2011 season and are the best 2 teams of the competion at the moment (and I stress at the moment). They also have a cominded membership base to sell out the MCG so they deserve to go live. Agree with the above comments, the fact that this was even a debate is enough for the AFL to not give 7 the rights. They have butchered it enough over the last five years. Ten’s coverage has its faults, but they never knock back live coverage, and they simulcast in true 1080i HD, not upscaled 720p like 7.

  7. Good. The fact that there was even a debate about it shows what a terrible network channel 7 are, they shouldn’t be allowed to show any sport because all they do is butcher it.
