The WIN Network will produce Western Australia’s first regional football program, Off the Boot.

The WIN Network will produce Western Australia’s first regional football program, Off the Boot, hosted by sports journalist Mark Readings, former AFL player Karl Langdon and WIN News sports presenter Tyson Beattie.

The weekly programme will look at what’s happening in WA country football.

Off the Boot is about community. A place to share a laugh and an opportunity to tell your story and have your voice heard,” said host Mark Readings. “We’ve had cameras out in all regions of WA looking at the stars and characters that make the game so popular, and we want to hear from viewers about their experiences with the game at a local level.”

The program will also look at the issues affecting grass-roots games in all competitions with a special guest in studio each week.

In episode one, Cameron Knapton, general manager of the WAFC, reveals the prospects of regional players being drafted into the AFL, the panel discusses Heath Black’s departure from Harvey Brunswick Leschenault, we review the Mitch Gillam Memorial Match in Kalgoorlie and preview the season ahead for Upper Great Southern, South West, Goldfields, Great Southern, and Great Northern leagues.

Entries are required for the weekly “Goal of the Week” and “Mark of the Week” competitions and can be from any game, past or present. The series winner will receive a trip to the 2011 AFL Premiership Grand Final in Melbourne. A

there was no racial villification and farmer didn’t just walk off the feild and push the spectator, he walked off and punched him in the mouth!

There were many witnesses on the side line including some indigenous people and if anything of the sort was said then there would of been a riot on the side lines

  4. Hi.
