Altiyan Childs’ ex-manager arrested in house raid

The ex-manager of X Factor winner Altiyan Childs is charged with eight illegal weapon offences following a raid on his home.

X Factor winner Altiyan Childs moved out of the house of his personal manager the day before a police raid which seized guns and drugs.

Police raided the Ramsgate duplex of Steve Gold, real name is Steven Yankuloff, on April 1st.

Childs had been living with Gold and seven other people for the past six months, according to the Sunday Telegraph.

Gold faced Bankstown Local Court on Monday after being charged with eight illegal weapon offences.

Police seized two rifles, a taser gun, knuckledusters, a semi-automatic pellet gun, confiscated 500g of cannabis and allegedly found “a large amount of chemical equipment” in a backyard shed. Police may lay further charges following forensic testing.

Childs, 35, is understood to have split from Gold just prior to the raid after their relationship soured.

The X Factor winner recently paid a $15,000 hotel damage bill following an incident in Hobart.

Childs has not been charged in relation to the raid. He will also appear in an interview on Today Tonight on Monday.

The case returns to court on May 2.
