Ann-Marie & Nick’s dream cooked

South Australia’s Ann-Marie and Nick were eliminated from My Kitchen Rules paving the way for Kane and Lee.

Tonight’s Grand Final of My Kitchen Rules will be a contest between NSW’s Sammy and Bella and Victoria’s Kane and Lee.

South Australia’s Ann-Marie and Nick were eliminated from the second Semi-Final.

Kane and Lee scored 46/60 to defeat over Ann-Marie and Nick’s 40 points.

“To be here is beyond anything I imagined,” Ann-Marie said. “We’ve met some amazing people, learnt so much and surprised ourselves. Each challenge we delivered some really good food. It’s been challenging but really fun as well.”

  1. @Jonno, I agree. Pete and Manu’s sixes were too low for the quality of the meal and the effort put into it. I was not a fan of Nick and Anne Marie, so I was happy with the result.

@Mason, it comes down to the individual scoring on the night. The two meals cooked on Monday were judged to be better quality than the two meals last night, hence the higher scores. The highest individual score last night was 8, whereas on Monday, both lots of contestants scored 9’s.

@col, it got 1.6M last night, so I don’t think it will crack the magic 2M. It needs to pick up 400K curious viewers tonight, which is a very big ask. I’m predicting 1.8M.

Seven must be completely over the moon with the success of this series of MKR. It has dominated three nights a week for nearly three months, which is an extraordinary achievement, on par with Masterchef.

  2. I haven’t watched the serires very closely but I wonder why The Italian cousins got a higher score than both teams last night and still got kicked out.

I amy have missed something in the explanation of the rules but seemed unfair.

I can’t wait for Masterchef, it’s a much better franchise for my money, I like that they are actually trained during the process.

  3. I thought the scoring was a bit ordinary. In keeping with the ratio of scoring for the first semi, Manu & Pete felt they had to give a lower score than the guest judges resulting in a pair of 6’s which seems way too low in light of the all round positive feedback about Anne-Marie & Nick’s meals at the time of eating, The comments suggested the meals were anything but average but that’s what a score of 6 is.

It was always going to be this final – this scoring just reinforced it.

  4. If you read the Daily Telegraph today they basically give the winner away , you’d have to be an idiot not to realise who will win , no spoilers from me folks.I wonder if it will make 2 million , im guessing 1.85M
