Wrestling series TNA Impact will be making a move from FOX8 to FUEL TV.

Wrestling series TNA Impact will be making a move from FOX8 to FUEL TV.

FOX8 on Facebook recently announced: “To All TNA Fans thanks for your feedback. At this stage TNA is looking likely to be screened on another Foxtel/Austar channel and they are close to signature. Confirmation should come through this week. Thanks for your patience.”

Yesterday it updated with, “We are waiting on Fuel to confirm start date and time for TNA so we will let you all know as soon as we do!”

  1. David does Network Ten still have the rights to TNA XPLOSION or does someone else have it? Anyway if people dont like TNA then dont watch for those of you who do and i am one of them just use youtube it is free yes its in parts ie 1 of 10 but the audio and video quality is still good. So if you are sick of Pay Tv’s treatment of TNA then use you tube.

  2. Spirit Squad 4 Life!

The WWE cheerleaders really are pathetic.

TNA isn’t great but WWE is boring, repetitive and aimed at children & waterheads.

  3. A few fans, fueled by a ‘Save Impact’ campaign on twitter has brought it back…..what a pity, I thought Aus TV had been saved from this joke of a program. TNAwful

  4. I began to watch wrestling in 2008, so I missed the WWE’s attitude era. I only watch the women matches and I am glad to see TNA getting a new home at Fuel TV. The womens matches at WWE are pathetic, a recent match between Layla and Eve only lasted about 40 seconds and the WWE divas show less skin compare to the male wrestlers.

  5. Foxtel move TNA from Fox8 to Fuel. Great, so now I get the privilege of upgrading my package and forking over an extra $15 a month just to watch TNA? This coupled with other recent poor programming decisions on Foxtel’s part is why I will soon be ending my subscription. Sorry Foxtel, but you are a mere shadow of what you used to be 10 years ago.

  6. Thanks for the news, David.

I’ve missed the TNA product since it disappeared so i’m looking forward to it returning.
    Hopefully it’ll be soon.

  7. As bad as TNA can get (and they’ve certainly plumbed the depths since the Hogan/Bischoff era), when their excellent performers are given the appropriate time and creative space to do their thing, it is top fun (need I mention Lesbian/Zombie Angelina?).

I’m (guardedly) pleased it’s returning. Not sure why it was dropped – even at the awful timeslot of 11:30pm Saturdays – it ranked in the top 100 shows (from Pay TV ratings: Week 8 2011):

    41 WWE Raw Fox8 29,000

    73 TNA Impact Fox8 24,000

    That’s not bad at all.

  8. TNA has become largely unwatchable of late, its almost like they are out of ideas and are hoping to stick around long enough to hope they come up with that one big storyline that will save it.

A foxtel insider tells me they got in the neighbourhood of 350 emails to try to get this back on air.
