Better Homes and Gardens: May 27

Better Homes and Gardens films in the UK and meets Jim Carter, Helen Mirren, Joan Rivers and Alex Kingston.

Tomorrow night Better Homes and Gardens meets Downton Abbey.

In a series first, Johanna Griggs has joined Graham Ross in the UK this week to film segments for tomorrow night’s Chelsea Flower Show Special of Better Homes and Gardens.

She catches up with celebrity attendees including Dame Helen Mirren, Joan Rivers and Alex Kingston.

She also speaks to Downton Abbey star Jim Carter (“Mr Carson”) who was attending Chelsea with his wife, Vera Drake actress Imelda Staunton.

Next week the show has scenes at Downton‘s Highclere Castle.

Johanna and Graham are off to Highclere Castle in Berkshire tomorrow – the country estate used as the filming location of Downton Abbey. The June 3 episode of Better Homes and Gardens will feature their exclusive tour of the Castle’s spectacular grounds and interiors with Lady Carnarvon. Highclere Castle has been home to the Carnarvon family since 1679 and the current (8th) Lord and his family on the estate and remain closely involved in Highclere’s day to day life and future. Scenes for the second season of Downton Abbey are being filmed while Johanna and Graham are at Highclere so viewers can also look out for some behind-the-scenes action in next week’s show.

Better Homes and Gardens screens 7.30pm Fridays on Seven. Downton Abbey premieres 8.30pm Sunday on Seven.
