Renewed: House
Update: FOX has now renewed House for an eighth season after earlier reports of cast signing on the dotted line.

Robert Sean Leonard and Omar Epps have signed deals to return to House for an eighth season, which is yet to be formally announced by FOX.
The eighth season is expected to be its final season.
Leonard conceded last month that he was unsure if he would be returning due to contractual issues.
Deadline reports Lisa Edelstein’s deal is still not done, due to the fact she has been overseas.
Hugh Laurie has one more year on his 3-year contract, and newer cast members, such as Olivia Wilde, also have more time on their deals.

“Over the past seven seasons, House has redefined the medical drama and has given us one of television’s most compelling and iconic characters,” said FOX entertainment chief Kevin Reilly. “From the producers to the incredible writers to the unbelievably talented cast and crew, the House team is fearless in its creativity and I can’t wait to see what they have in store next year.”

They lost me when they moved it to Sunday. I don’t know about anyone else.
House used to get close to 20 million viewers in the U.S and 1.8 million i remember here on TEN
How did this show loose almost half of it’s audience?
I’m glad its coming back. To be completely honest half way through season 4 I got bored, but I watched the premier of season 5 and got re-addicted. Love the show seems though its the only medical show of its kind – with characters and stories that arent in the other 100 medical shows on TV. With Wilson in his article last month saying he doesn’t really want to do any more because him and his wife have no holiday time, I think this will definitely be the last season seems though he wouldn’t have signed back up if it was for any longer than that. Lets just hope that they finish the show properly and not some dodgy cliff hanger like Las Vegas or The Gates with the shows never to return.
I still like the show and as long as Lisa Edelstein signs for the next season I’ll watch the show.
I don’t see this show dying anytime soon…they’ll milk it way past its use by date. I’d expect ten seasons minimum, with a spinoff after that
as for me, I stopped watching halfway through season 4. Got dull.
