Judges join The Renovators

Former Vogue Living editor Robyn Holt, architect Peter Ho and master builder Barry DuBois join TEN's upcoming renovation series.

TEN has officially confirmed its presenting team for The Renovators.

As revealed by TV Tonight last month, former LifeStyle Channel presenter Brendan Moar will host the show.

There are three judges: former Vogue Living editor Robyn Holt, architect Peter Ho and master builder Barry DuBois.

The series, produced by Shine Australia, will feature MasterChef-style master classes on the latest design techniques and construction challenges in renovation.

It promises 26 renovators tackling six rundown houses, all are tipped to be located in Sydney.

The show will air 6 nights a week later this year. Nine’s The Block will air 5 nights a week and is likely to hit screens before The Renovators.

  1. i am predicting a flop but that said i said that about master chef as for the hot house i was probaly the only person who actually watched that show it and i actually liked it

  2. Every week the property market slips, the chances of this show (and the block) tanking rise….it might be the first time a tv show’s success relies on the RBA not raising the rates

  3. Well they won’t be in the same timeslot so it should still do well. I will laugh to no end if these design judges become huge pin ups the way the Masterchef judges have become

  4. This show is such a huge gamble for Ten. If it tanks they’re on serious trouble… esp with Nine stripping The Block the way they are.

  5. Wasn’t there a show similar that aired in the arvo last year. It featured couples building or renovating a home. There were 4 couples with 4 adjacent houses. Each week they got tips on how to “plasterboard” and then the team that did the best job won “something”. I only saw it once, but The renovators seems similar!
