Ooops. To vote for Jessica, SMS “Rebecca.”

During Nine's broadcast of the Logie Awards there was an error in the information given for phone voting for the Gold.

Last night during Nine’s broadcast of the Logie Awards there was an error in the information given for phone voting for the Gold.

As this image indicates, SMS information for Jessica Marais was inaccurate telling viewers to “SMS Rebecca to 199 52 900.”

Given voting was still open for the Gold it was a pretty serious breach.

The error wasn’t even picked up when it ran the voting information again later.

  1. I’m sure Karl is great to have a couple of beers with, but Australia’s best TV personality…. please. Poor Graham must be rolling in his grave.

  2. Also there was another massive breach last night. There were no closed captions for the entire broadcast from the moment the red carpet started. There were captions before this with 60 Minutes. IMO Nine deserved to be slapped because this isn’t the first time. To clarify it was NBN whom i was watching but considering they are owned by Nine its just unacceptable.

  3. @deedeedragons. i never said he deserved it, its just the Hypocrisy of how when a shit channel seven star wins, it “flaming” great, but when a shit channel nine star wins its a conspiracy and nine somehow rigged it to win. Two words – Sore losers

  4. Yes, I don’t really see how this advantages Karl or the 9 Network. If anything, it goes in 7’s favour by pooling all the ‘Packed to the Rafters’ votes on Rebecca, giving her a greater chance of winning.

  5. @Ingle: I’m sorry, but anyone who thinks Karl Deserved a Gold Logie needs to be in a padded cell wearing a straight jacket, the final nail in the awards coffin.
