Hold the phone, Nina is back with a new series of Offspring this month.

Hot on the heels of her Logie win, Asher Keddie features in a double-episode premiere at 8:30pm Monday May 16th.

Six months after fleeing from her unhinged family and fraught love-life, Nina is enjoying a calm existence in Baltimore. When an emergency brings her back home, Nina is quickly reminded why she left.

  1. I agree with other comments that Sunday would be better, but then again sometimes the Sunday night Masterchef will have 90 minute shows forcing Offspring to start at 9pm which would be annoying. Perhaps 10 think Monday is a better choice to avoid this delay. Being a DH fan I finally have something to watch on Monday nights 🙂

  2. David, is Don Hany even in Season 2? Ive noticed he has been omitted from all the ads which is odd because the show focuses on Chris & Nina.

  3. @ Franz Chong – I wouldn’t call Offspring a hospital drama; yes Nina is a nurse but the show doesn’t focus on medical conditions; its a show about Nina’s life, love and family – not about her job.
In the first 13 episodes I think I remember 1 work centric episode where a family who Nina was delivering a baby for wanted everyone attending to be nude.

  4. ten should have put this on Sundays, it would be an alternative to the usual crime offerings, plus they need something to replace hawaii five-o, which is rating terribly.

  5. Good choice of timeslot – Nine will only have 2 episodes of CSI left by the time this goes to air, and Seven’s Downton Abbey will likely not be as popular after the first few episodes. Then again knowing Nine they’ll slot Rescue: Special Ops against this like they did with Sea Patrol

  6. The first 2 eps of series 2 (names as a movie length premiere) are available to watch on the channel Ten website.
I hope they are noting the hits and factoring this into any ratings figures so if the on air figures are down that is taken into account!

  7. About time too.I don’t normally watch Hospital based dramas but this one is an exception given the lack of decent alternatives elsewhere on a Monday Night. The American Ones with the exception of the now defunct Scrubs are all way too heavy by comparison.
