FremantleMedia Australia is now calling for single women and men for its upcoming season of The Farmer Wants a Wife.

There are 13 single farmers looking for partners in the lead up to the next series, 6 of whom will feature in the show.

One of them is female, 25yo Courtney from Oberon, NSW. The other 12 are all (straight) males, in case you were wondering.

This will be the seventh season of the dating series, which begins production in the next few weeks.

To apply visit ninemsn.com.au/farmer before Sunday, May 15.

  1. I love watching it, and don’t want to miss out tonight’s. It is great to see how people fall in love and to share their feelings and especially their happiness; as well as to see how this program plays a faciliating role to help the farmers to find their partners.

  2. Worst show on TV ever. It is woeful, and the ratings for the last season reflect that. The only thing that could revive it would be a lesbian farmer looking for a wife.

  3. Every season I hope that Nine will re-energise this show with some new concepts – such as homosexual men or women. Surely there would be a few single gay farmers out there!

  4. the dead horse has been flogged and is now ancient mummified remain. the hsow doesnt rate, fails, is old news, no one cares, your pathetic ch9 – why not try and bring back some more long dead shows.

  5. By ‘single women and men’, I assume that as this is on Nine, this means single white women and white men only need apply.

    Nine never fails to disappoint.

  6. I find it amazing that people give so much crap about a show they think is crap but must have watched it more than once to come up with this or maybe they watch the previews and go, not intellectual enough and go back to watching ABC 24 or whatever. Sometimes David it would be interesting to know what people actually do watch, especially those that think anything Nine or some of the other commercial networks put out. There are many out there that just want something that they do not need to think about, enjoy the scenery and forget about things for an hour. Loosen up folks, you cannot say they are rubbish, without these shows, no matter good or bad, we would not have any type of industry that employs heaps of technicians, cameramen/women and the list goes on.

  7. Why perservere with this rubbish! Bad television at best it’s shameful! Viewers drastically need to review their television viewing!!!
