Life’s Too Short: teaser

By David Knox on June 23, 2011 / Filed Under News 9

Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant have a new mockumentary, Life’s Too Short, due to air on BBC Two and HBO later this year.

It stars 3 ft. 6 in. actor Warwick Davis as a fictionalised version of himself: a down-and-out little person desperately trying to hustle and connive his way back into the spotlight.

Each episode will feature cameos by stars, including Johnny Depp, Sting and Steve Carell.

Other cast regulars include Jo Enright as Davis’ wife Sue and Rosamund Hanson as his assistant Cheryl.

Yep, I’m a fan of the Rickmeister (only his cool fans get to call him that ;) ), so I’ll be looking fwd to seeing this. Loving An Idiot Abroad too – the last one was poss the best yet. However, I would actually like to see more direct interaction between Karl and Rick & Steve as these are some of the funniest moments.

@Ruddeger – great title and I would watch that show!

Love it. I know a lot of people find Ricky Gervais’s style grating but I just love his work. As part of my son’s education in film and TV, we’re currently working our way through every episode of The Extras. Brilliant!

Hope it’s a lot better than “An Idiot Abroad”. That show was very sad…
