A woman whose partner murdered their toddler daughter, will tell her story to Liam Bartlett on 60 Minutes.

A woman whose partner murdered their toddler daughter, will tell her story to Liam Bartlett on 60 Minutes this Sunday night.
A Mother’s Heartache
It was the most sickening and cruellest of crimes. What happened to Rachelle D’Argent is beyond comprehension. In November last year, her estranged partner kidnapped their three-year-old daughter, Yazmina. For four hours, he tormented Rachelle with phone calls and texts. Then he did the unthinkable. Now as Ramazan Acar begins a new life behind bars, Rachelle tells her harrowing story for the first time.

Fighting Back
Going to war is an act of enormous courage. There are no guarantees you’ll make it home alive, as we’ve been reminded too often recently. Of course, Australia’s toll goes well beyond the fatalities. There are also the many soldiers who suffer catastrophic injuries while serving on the frontline. They’re the ones we don’t hear so much about. Ray Martin has just met a group of returned diggers, far from average men, who aren’t going to let their broken bodies stop them from representing their country once again. The difference is, this time they’re hoping to do it on the sporting field, rather than the battlefield.

Everyday Superheroes
It’s a comic book staple. A geeky, mild-mannered guy suddenly discovers he possesses super powers. Before you can say “to the bat cave”, he’s wearing his undies on the outside and saving the world from evil. No one really believes that happens, of course, but as Allison Langdon discovered, super heroes really do exist. And while they get around in some pretty outlandish costumes, these caped crusaders take their work very seriously, indeed.

It airs 7:30pm Sunday on Nine.

  1. Carol: Rachelle needs to plug her phone into iTunes and it will sync and files named by the date and time (or if she has named them in Voice Memos) will appear under “Voice Memos”. Under “Voice Memos” will be the dates and times the sound files were recorded. Click on them and drag them into the Finder and for God sake put those files in a safe place!

  2. An innocent child suffered at the hands of this pathetic man who should have been her protector. I hope is that if you are a woman reading this who is seeing a man who shows violence towards you, then you must get help and escape now. Don’t wait around hoping he won’t hurt you and others again. Sadly, there will only be hurt and pain if you stay with a man like this.

  3. What sick human being would do that to there own flesh & blood just for revenge, well we all know where he’s going straight down to burn in hell

  5. This is so sad. Please let that Darling Lady know to Please get her daughters voice taped on to another tap as the phone will not last for ever. I only wish I had my Darling boys voice transfered on to another tape as after his death my phone was broken and I now have no record of his voice. Can you please pass this on to her as I watched her face and I’m sure if she could not hear her voice she would not wont to live. Only God can ease the pain.
