Record Pay TV ratings for Super Rugby, and how did Falling Skies, Project Runway Australia and Torchwood fare?

The Super Rugby Final Reds V Crusaders broke Pay TV ratings last week with 518,000 viewers in Metro + Regional viewers, surpassing the 431,000 viewers for the World Cup Qualifier in April 2009.

FOX8’s new Steven Spielberg series Falling Skies also performed strongly, and the week held premiere episodes of Project Runway Australia and Torchwood.

  1. Enjoyed Falling Skies – in HD as well….so glad its not on FTA

    Saturday night was the 1st and probably only time i will ever cheer for a QLD side – well done the Reds.

    Fair few good new shows coming up on PayTV as well as favourites True Blood,Deadliest Catch and Dexter returning.

  3. I agree guys – Alex came across as kind of smirking and didn’t really give much useful advice- he looked like he thought it was enough to stand around in sunnies with his shirt undone. I thought Gale might be good but she was very wooden and doesn’t have the “X” factor at all. I might tune in again a bit further into the series to see if they have grown into the roles, but at this stage its its all feels a bit embarrassing and awkward to watch.

  4. Same here Walter. I could only stand 20 minutes – but loved the last series. It’s also a shame to see the extent of bullying on display in the show – whoever has superglued the sunnies to Alex Perry’s forehead, needs to be spoken to.

  5. Project Runway was awful with Gale as host and Alex Perry as mentor. Gale has no screen presence or warmth and Perry is not mentor material. I’ve watched every season but I couldn’t bear this.
